About
Jackson is an alum of AFI Conservatory and Howard University, who’s writing on politics (RUSTIN) and science fiction (JULIUS-X ON DYING EARTH) have garnered the awards and attention from the Writers’ Guild of America-West’s Feature Writers' Access Project, Film Independent, Nicholls and Sundance/Sloan Fellowships. Jackson’s storytelling is influenced by nine years of work enhancing the education of Washington, DC’s youth through government policy and theater arts. The son of a civil rights activist and an active participant in election campaigns, Jackson translates these experiences into fictional stories about living legends. Recently, COUNTER, his short script on Bayard Rustin conducting a solo-sit-in a 1942 small town diner, was filmed and exhibited at the 2014 LA Film Festival through Film Independent’s Project Involve.
